Kenora Dinner Jackets
Meet the Kenora Dinner Jackets

Chris Brown
I started the Kenora Dinner Jackets improv group back in 2019, shortly after moving to Kenora. I am quite proud of what it has become and all the amazing talent I have been able to meet and work with over the years. I love running this group because of the laugh and the joy that improv theatre can bring. I have a deep appreciation for TryLight theatre letting us under their umbrella and allowing our group to grow and look forward to many future sessions and shows! My wife and I anxiously await the birth of our daughters. One of the first lessons they will learn from their father is YES AND!

Coming from a theatre background and having done improv before I was really excited and grateful to become a part of Kenora Dinner Jackets from its beginnings. As a teenager watching "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" I was bitten by the improv bug and so in high school I jumped at any opportunity to practice this unique form of drama. Being a part this group therefore has been a dream come true.

I joined the Kenora Dinner Jackets improv group when it began in 2019. Growing up, I watched countless hours of classic "Saturday Night Live", "Kids in the Hall", and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" so, I knew I had to try out improv when I heard about a group starting in Kenora. Since then, I've been lucky enough to make some new friends and take part in several performances!

I am new to Kenora dinner jackets but always loved watching whose line is it anyway and This hour has 22 minutes.I have not done official improv but always look for a sense of humour in situations. Comedy is a way of life for me and I am looking forward to interacting with the experienced improv group.

I started my acting career with The Rogue Apples Sketch Comedy troupe about 2004. In 2009 I auditioned with TryLight Theatre, got a part in Hay Fever, and went on to appear in several other TryLight Theatre plays. Since then I have joined the TryLight Theatre Set Elves helping to construct sets. Most recently I joined The Kenora Dinner Jackets Improv troupe, purchased an official KDJ shirt, and now, unless I’m fired, I am one. I love Improv!
